Magnus Carlsen's probable seconds for FIDE World Chess Championship 2014

Its unofficial, but rumours are spreading in the chess community about Magnus Carlsen's seconds for the championship. A lot of drama happened in the last year during the pre-match press conference where Vishy Anand revealed his seconds. It was Magnus who declined to reveal the names.

Maxime Vachier-Lagrave - French chess Grandmaster and the 2009 World Junior Chess Champion. He is currently ranked No. 1 in France.

Ian Aleksandrovich Nepomniachtchi - born July 14, 1990) is a Russian chess grandmaster and the 2010 Russian Chess Champion. He was a member of the gold-medal winning Russian team at the World Team Chess Championship in Antalya 2013.

Laurent Fressinet  - Another French GM - Twice runner-up at the European Blitz Championship in 2006 and 2007 and French Rapid Chess Champion in 2009 and 2011, Fressinet won the last leg of the French Rapid Grand-Prix in Villandry and finished second in the Grand-Prix Final in Ajaccio in 2012.

Peter Heine Nielsen - coached World Champion Vishy Anand from 2002 until 2012. Anand won the World Championship title in Mexico 2007, and defended it in Bonn 2008, Sofia 2010 and Moscow 2012. Nielsen has been coaching world number one, Magnus Carlsen, since 2013.
