Magnus Carlsen Alps - Photos prematch prep

The current world chess champion and FIDE No. 1 rated player Magnus Carlsen has confirmed that he will be traveling to the Alps for Altitude training.  He confirmed this at a press conference on Monday. His travel is scheduled on 15th October.

Magnus Carlsen prepared for his previous World Chess Championship match in Oman to cope up with the humid conditions in Chennai. Its closely guarded secret that who all will be traveling along with him.

His team at Sochi Olymopic Village will be a. chef Magnus Forssell, dad Henrik Carlsen, manager Espen Agdestein, physician Wide Kvisvik and coach Peter Heine Nielsen. He will also have other coaches whose names are secret still. In addition, Carlsen coaches.Heine Nielsen and Jon Ludvig Hammer with as coaches. The World Chess championship inauguration ceremony is scheduled on november 7th. The first match is on November 8. The chess enthusiasts around the world is awaiting for the Carslen Anand rematch. Vishy Anand has shown lot of improvements & aggressiveness in his recent matches.

Carlsen also admitted that he is not in good shape during the recent matches especially in the Sinquefield Cup in the United States, where he got defeated by Fabiano Caruana and finished second. Magnus is also scheduled to meet the Indian president Mr. Pranab Mukherjee in Oslo.
